"Angels of Mercy" drama

Friday, 2/15/08 will have the Museum's civilians participating in the skirmish on Lake Desoto at 5:00pm. Following this, the wounded will be taken to the Museum/Victorian residence which will have been transformed into a temporary hospital, much as did exist in other houses following the Battle of Olustee. The Museum will re-enact a Civil War-era hospital complete with other unique local characters from the time period. The drama will be from 6:00pm - 9:00pm; expect a wait of 15-30 minutes or so. Not recommended for childrens under 13 years old.
Saturday, 2/16/08 from 10:00am - 4:00pm the Museum will have an Open House. Stroll through the museum, view its exhibits, enjoy docents in period attire displaying wares from the mid-1800's: cooking techniques, sewing, clothes washing, story telling. Food will be available.
