Contestants are currently being sought for the 2012 Olustee festival pageant. Girls will compete in party dress or gown and will be judged on beauty, poise and showmanship.
The pageant will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Columbia County Schools Administrative Complex. Ages 3 months-12 months, 13 months-23 months, 2-4, 5-6 and 7-9 will compete at 4:00 p.m. Ages 10-12, 13-15, and 16-20 will compete at 7:00 p.m. Pageant awards include educational scholarships, savings bonds, trophies, crowns and banners. First place winners will ride in the annual Olustee Festival Parade on February 18. The pageant is open to girls ages 2-20 as well as boys and girls 3 months to 4 years old, who reside or attend school in either Baker, Columbia, Hamilton, Union,Gilchrist and Suwannee County.
Finalists in ages 16 to 20 will be asked an on stage question.
Age divisions are as follows:
Baby Miss/Mr: (Ages 3 months - 12 months)
Tiny Miss/Mr: (Ages 13 months-23 months)
Miniature Miss/Mr: (Ages 2-4)
Little Miss (Ages 5-6)
Petite Miss (Ages 7-9)
Pre Teen Miss (Ages 10-12)
Junior Miss (Ages 13-15)
Miss Olustee Festival (Ages 16-20)
The pageant will include a separate sportswear andtalent and a photogenic competition.
