Contestants are currently being sought for the 2010 Olustee festival pageant. Girls will compete in party dress or gown and will be judged on beauty, poise and showmanship.
The pageant will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Columbia County Schools Administrative Complex. Ages 13 months-23 months, 2-4, 5-6 and 7-9 will compete at 4:00 p.m. Ages 10-12, 13-15, and 16-20 will compete at 6:30 p.m. Pageant awards include educational scholarships, savings bonds, trophies, crowns and banners. First place winners will ride in the annual Olustee Festival Parade on February 13. The pageant is open to girls ages 2-20 as well as boys and girls 13 months to 23 months, who reside or attend school in Baker, Columbia, Hamilton, Union, and Suwannee Counties.
Finalists in ages 10 and above will be asked an on stage question.
Age divisions are as follows:
Tiny Mr. and Miss (Ages 13 months-23 months)
Miniature Miss (Ages 2-4)
Little Miss (Ages 5-6)
Petite Miss (Ages 7-9)
Pre Teen Miss (Ages 10-12)
Junior Miss (Ages 13-15)
Miss Olustee Festival (Ages 16-20)
The pageant will include a separate talent and photogenic competition.
